Verhees Textiles as a social employer, " Carina is smiling again ''!

At Verhees Textiles, the well-being of our employees is one of our priorities. We want to be a safe and happy place for everyone and hope they enjoy their work. Someone who has certainly succeeded in this is Carina. In an article by IBN, a social employer, she talks about how she has changed positively by working in our warehouse.

After the loss of her father and the diagnosis of autism, Carina went through a difficult period. The long, cold days working in a cold store broke her down. Carina ended up on sick leave. Thanks to a reintegration process initiated by UWV (a benefits agency) at IBN, Carina was able to get back to work!

She has been working as a logistics employee since April 2021. As one of the few women she stands her ground and has grown into an all-round logistics employee. She has learned to switch gears and works in a structured way. If she has a problem or struggles with something, she always can ask her buddy for help. This gives Carina peace of mind and as she says herself: 'the atmosphere here is great'.

As Verhees Textiles, we are grateful for people like Carina. She is versatile and of great value in our warehouse. Thanks to social entrepreneurship with IBN, we not only offer opportunities, but we also get lots of good things in return!
