Oeko-tex

Verhees Textiles is Oeko-tex certified. Oeko-tex is a German organization that follows a strict policy against harmful substances in textiles. In the 1990s there has been a lot of negative news about existing chemicals in clothing fabrics. To act against this, the Oeko-tex standard 100 has been developed, to prove that there are also clothes can be made without harmful substances. The starting point is of course the production of textiles. Oeko-tex is far beyond this than the most quality marks, they pay attention not only on the use of chemicals and responsible water use, but also to the working conditions in the factory. So not only is thought of the people that wear the clothes or the consumer, but also the working environment of the employees in the factories must be healthy. In addition, there is also attention for the quality, it is much more environmentally friendly as a garment is more durable and less often should be washed. There is thus taken into account or something at low temperature with little detergent can be washed clean and whether it can be recycled. Verhees Textiles has a Oeko-tex certificate in class I and class II on their name. The difference between class I and II, is that products from class I are suitable for babies. Class II may be worn close to the skin.
