Verhees Textiles invests in sustainable viscose with Lenzing™ EcoVero™
In producing our eco-friendly viscose fibres, Verhees Textiles embraces the principle of "taking less, giving more," rooted in respect for both nature and our customers. Our goal is to contribute to a cleaner and greener world by reducing our environmental impact, maximising the efficiency of natural resource use, and minimising waste in the production process. At the same time, we strive to offer our customers added benefits, enabling them to meet their end customers' expectations for sustainable products by using our LENZING™ ECOVERO™ branded viscose fibres.
Sustainable Wood Sources ECOVERO™ viscose fibres are made from wood and pulp sourced from naturally grown, renewable, and certified forests in Europe, with certification from the European Eco label. The fibres are biodegradable and compostable, ensuring no harm to nature and keeping our waters clean.
Reduced Water Impact The production of ECOVERO™ viscose fibres uses up to 50% less water compared to conventional viscose. Chlorine-free bleaching methods are employed, and the wastewater is returned clean to nature after the production process. Waste from the production process does not enter natural ecosystems.
Lower CO2 Emissions ECOVERO™ production emits up to 50% less CO2 than traditional viscose. This contributes to the fight against climate change and supports a more sustainable future.
Minimizing our environmental impact
At Verhees Textiles, we are committed to reducing our environmental impact as much as possible. By choosing LENZING™ ECOVERO™, we select a product that not only meets high sustainability standards but also actively contributes to the preservation of our planet. Investing in LENZING™ ECOVERO™ helps us support biodiversity and reduce pollution, maintaining the natural balance in ecosystems. Together, we can ensure that fashion is not only beautiful but also responsible.
